Clowne Local History Society Calendar 2027

A whole year of Clowne’s history, memories and familiar faces.

Clowne has changed a lot over the years, but there’s something special about seeing an old photograph of a place you know. Perhaps it’s a shop you remember visiting, a building you passed every day, or somewhere that brings back memories of growing up in the village.

Our 2027 Clowne Local History Calendar is packed with photographs celebrating the people, places and stories that have shaped our community.

Each month takes you on a little journey through Clowne’s past. From the old railway and village shops to familiar pubs, local schools, traditional well dressings and Christmas celebrations, there’s plenty to discover and reminisce about.

You’ll also find photographs showing how some of these places look today, offering a fascinating glimpse at just how much Clowne has changed over the years.

More than just a calendar

Whether you’ve lived in Clowne all your life, moved away years ago or have family connections to the village, this calendar is a lovely way to keep a little piece of Clowne close to home.

It’s also a thoughtful Christmas gift for parents, grandparents, friends or anyone who enjoys local history. You might even spot somewhere or someone you recognise!

Inside you’ll find:

• 12 months of fascinating local photographs, memories and history
• Historic images alongside more recent views of familiar locations
• A practical A4 calendar with plenty of room for appointments, birthdays and reminders
• A handy 2028 year planner
